Sunday fitness summary

Hello all... Happy Fathers Day!
This week was pretty good. I managed to make my way to the gym on the regular. I did not get to use my Bootcamp DVD due to some technical difficulties but all is fixed and it will be kicking my butt this week. I did hit a small road block mid week. I was a little discouraged just because but through some extra encouragement, that pity party only lasted one day.

I finally completed week 2 of Couch25K which I repeated to get the hang of it. Whew. I signed up for a 5K on July 26. It is called the Electric run and it should be fun. The kids and I walk the Susan G Komen every year but this is my first attempt at running in one. This will be a challenge for sure.

You will notice the puppy in the picture because she spent a lot if time outside with me and that added some extra walking to my week. Plus she is also super cute.

Fun at my desk.

Sometimes I itch to play with my supplies but have zero time to do so. For example, on top of work, I have had rehearsals each night for 2 different productions. So I leave home in the morning and don't return until about 1030 each night. I am tired. Not of the shows, I love them, they are great and a passion, just from so little hours in the day. I keep a vision board at my desk and a co-worker was thinking about starting one of her own. When she was looking for things to add on she came across an Affirmation tree on google images. I loved the idea and I told her that I was going to try something similar. So today, I sat, I wrote and colored. Here is my Affirmation flower. It is no masterpiece but it managed to served my urge to play with colors and cardstock. Sometimes creativity can be so simple. I love that.

Sunday fitness summary

Ya'll, this was a tough week. I barely got any working out in. It was part hurt knee, part exhaustion/laziness and part super busy week. I am surprised the scale even went down the tiny bit that it had. There were so many parties and celebrations this week which meant lots of pizza, cake and ice cream.

This week will be much better. I planning my meals and workouts right now while searching the web for workouts that won't bother my knee.

See you next week with better progress.

Happy National Running Day

I love holidays or reasons to celebrate. I got out there and logged 1.65 mi at the YMCA on my lunch break. It was a walk/jog, but it felt good to get it done.

Sunday fitness summary

Week 2 is in the books.
The scale is still going in the right direction. That makes me happy. I was a little worried this week since a bad knee kept me seated for 2 days.

The goals this week.
1. 5 days of Biggest Loser Bootcamp : With injury, only got to 4.
2. 3 days of Couch25K: Only got through 1 day because of the knee.
3. Try a Barre class: Not accomplished, but will try again this week.

I did find an incredible deal this week and purchased myself some actual running shoes. I am on a serious mission and I am hype about it. Super hyped.

She scraps...

We R Memory Keepers journaling card. CTMH ink.
Prima washi tape. Paper Studio gemstone stickers.
Recollections tags. Studio G Twine.

I am super excited to announce that last night I stood at my craft desk and scrapped. It has been almost a year since I last scrapped and I have missed it. It is truly my favorite creative hobby.  I really think I am mentally on a high from the new healthy choices I have been making. I feel a little rusty with all that time away but am still hype that I got something down on the card stock. Let's hope this is the beginning of my creative juices returning.

Sunday fitness summary

Week 1 in the books and I feel GREAT!!! I worked hard each day and it felt great being able to check off each day of planned work outs. This weeks goals were 5 days of my Biggest Loser Bootcamp DVD( which I am loving), 3 days of Couch25K training, some core work and to try at least 1 new class. I was able to keep things on schedule all except one day when I didn't get home from work until after 9 p.m.
Couch25K isn't new to me, I started it a year ago and quickly gave up on it. This time I am so determined to run that 5K on my bucket list. On day 2, I ran outside instead of a treadmill and there were moments that I was ready to cry but I pushed on.
The boys and I attended a fit class for families called Neverland Fit Camp, it was our Saturday fun. It counted as my new class this week and I really enjoyed the family working out all together.
Stepped on the scale and I am down 1.3lbs. That makes me happy, one small step towards a better me.
